Will a 400W PSU replacement do?

I recently bought a custom-built PC based on an HPM9265 board sporting both processors running at 2.4Ghz. The PSU seems to have gone faulty and I would value advice on a replacement. The box has a fairly beefy video card, 2 HDDs and 2 DVDs. This is all installed in a CoolerMaster CyberPower case with 4 cooling fans. The failed PSU is a Corsair TX650W, but I've seen a good price for a 400W Fortron PSU - is this likely to be beefy enough? Thanks

If the 650 watt corsair failed then a 400 watt is probably sure to fail. I would go with a 750 watt corsair or OCZ PSU just to be safe, but I really don't know for sure unless you give more detailed specs about your system.

Could you please provide the video card model? Video cards are the most power hungry parts in a computer, whether or not the PSU will be enough is dependent on the GPU's power consumption.

On a separate note, I'm so sure I would recommend Fortron for your PSU. It might be cheap, but you'll get what you paid for, and a PSU is not something you want to skimp on. If you tell me what your budget is, I'll be happy to help you look for another one.
