Hello community,
I wanted to buy a Laptop or portability + performance equipped Ultra book
So, I was thinking that purchase for me will be in next January (2014).
That will for me just for me for performance and school life.
So, Is it worth waiting for the 4th generation core processors ?
I hope there will be a performance increase in those processors powered ultra books.
What do you think ?
Any help will be appreciated.

What are you using it for. Really the most importatnt feature for me in any portable device would be battery life. My understanding is haswell will use less power then ivybridge. If you are planning on doing lots of things unplugged you can expect better battery time out of it.

This. Even if clock for clock it's the same speeds but 20% better battery life, it's worth it.

To the OP, wait till next fall/winter, then ask. We don't have a crystal ball to know how well a chip that's not even released yet will fair.

actually, laptops is the one area haswell is promising the most improvement. for example: more powerful igpu (gt2, gt3, gt3e), better power management, longer battery life etc.
benchmarks and reviews from independent hardware sites like toms will help users know whether intel delivered on their promise or not.

Wait... You will experience drastically longer battery life, less heat, and ~10% performance boost. Also, you will be getting a better GPU if your laptop does not have a dedicated graphics card.
