why doesnt my transfer speed change after upgrading from a 7200 rpm hd to a 10000 rpm raptur hd.system is a home build,asus sabertooth mobo,icore7,24 gigs of vengeance ram,radeon 6950 graphics,1200wt psu,ram set at 9,9,9,24.

is it a sata 3.0gbs or a sata 6.0gbs drive? if so does your motherboard support sata 6.0gbs? If yes to both of these, it's because there isn't going to be a major difference between the two (depending on your cpu too, what's the transfer speed its hitting right now?) Also does the new HD have a fresh install of window/operating system of your choice?
