I am in the market for a new laptop for gaming and MSI seems to be the best bang for the but atm. I have it narrowed down to two models but I am concerned about the graphics memory between the two and I post here in hopes for clarification. I guess my question is:

Is VRAM the same as dedicated memory for the video card? Below are the spec's for the two laptops I am looking at and the video description is different between the two. If the VRAM (Discrete graphics) is shared from the 12 GB of memory for the machine then I would assume that the 2GB dedicated model would be the best bet. Thoughts?

I knew I could count on the tom's community to get me a quick clarification! Better than MSI's support :) Thanks Jesster.
