I picked up a combo deal at Frys with an AMD A4-3300 and MSI A55M-P33, along with 8 gigs of corsair ram, a Raidmax case with an included 380w power supply, and I put in a Corsair 120GB hd that I had extra.
My intent is to setup a network media server that I might also run a Minecraft server on.
I burned an Ubuntu 13.04 server DVD and installed it, no problems.
The problem I have is that when I set the SATA ports to RAID (or ahci for that matter) the computer boots to the efi shell and if I exit out of that it goes to the bios. It will only boot to Ubuntu when I set the SATA port to IDE.
The MB currently has v1.7 of the bios that it came with, but there is a v2.0 that I can flash to it.
Any ideas of why it does this and if updating to the v2 bios will help?
Thanks,
Jeremy
