Hey Everyone,

I'd like to OC my current video card, but I'm really not sure what my limits would be. My components are as follows:

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor

Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

Mobo: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard

Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory

Video Card: MSI R7850 Twin Frozr 2GD5/OC Radeon HD 7850 2GB 256-bit GDDR5

Case: Cooler Master Enforcer

I have AMD Overdrive from the Catalyst Control Center, but I don't know what I can increase without damaging anything.

Thanks for the help!

I just bought a 7850. From what I have researched on it, because I am thinking to OC mine too, that you should end up with the RAM maxed out on AMD Overdrive, just as far over as it will go. The CPU should end up at 1050, but I know that you have to increase voltage a little to get this. I would try giving it a very small voltage increase, maybe 5% tops and then moving the clock on both up pretty far, maybe half way. Open a graphically intensive GPU testing program and watch for glitches. I don't think you will have one, but best to be safe. Then slowly increase till you are maxed out.

You may want to wait to increase voltage till you see artifacts start and then give it a small boost, up to you.

I withdraw part of my last statement. I heard that you had to give it a little more voltage to make it completely stable, but I was curious so since my message I went ahead and OC'd mine. I ended up with 1050 core clock and 1450 RAM clock. I didn't have to increase voltage at all. I used a testing tool, and no artifacts at all. May eventually see a reason for a small voltage increase but if so just a few percent. not much.
