Hi there,

So it would seem that my CPU runs a little hot. I have the following system:

-i5 3570k w/ stock fan
-660ti
-8gb patriot ram
-z774 extreme mobo
-ocz 600w psu
-Zalman Z9 u3 case

I am thinking of going with a Hyper 212 evo cpu cooler. Will it fit in my case with my mobo?

If it does and I go with the stock fan on it, which side should the fan be on in my case and where should it be blowing?

Also, I was thinking of getting a second fan for the cooler, how would that work?

Finally, I was thinking about getting another 120mm fan for the top of the case. I was thinking of going with the Cooler Master Sickleflow fans for both the top and the second cpu cooler fan. Would these attach to my psu or to the mobo?

Thanks!

Yes.

Well... you have a rear fan right? So it would make sense for the air current to flow the same way. If you have the cooler fan be blowing air in the opposite direction, it wouldn't work too well.

A second fan doesn't help much, especially since you have a rear exhaust fan. But you would just buy a good PWM/SP 120mm fan, hook it up to the clips that the EVO comes with. And clip it onto the other end of the heatsink. Just make sure you hook the fan up correctly so they blow air current the same way.

Yes; but the SickleFlow is not a good fan for a heatsink. It's fine for an exhaust.
