Hi,
A am getting as solid light green screen just after the Vista welcome screen on my Acer Aspire 8930G.
Happened once a week ago and was able to somehow get past it, but can no longer.
Sometimes I see the desktop for a second before it goes green. and can see it during shut down. I use Control Alt Del to get to the shutdown options which appears as normal. Have mouse function and this is how I shut it down. Then desktop appears as normal while it begins to shuts off.
Tried RAM one module at a time with no difference. Also did not post at all a couple of times when it was warm and this problem began, but starts as described the following day.
Tried to get to the display drivers in 'safe mode' but it automatically restarts as soon as it gets to the 'safe mode' desktop. Did get 'safe mode' to stay on in low rez mode but then just gave me a blank screen with same green screen in the upper left corner, acting as though the 600 low rez was trying to display in the corner of the native 1900 resolution.
GPU failing? I can buy a new card but if it is drivers this will probably still not allow me to access them.
