Hello, thanks for checking my thread... any input will be very helpful!

I am having an issue where my system will randomly shut down while playing Battlefield 3 or Farcry 3. I have not ran into this issue with other games, or during normal use of other applications. i don't even need to play that long to incur an issue, sometimes farcry 3 will shut down after 10 minutes of playtime... other nights i can go for hours with no problems. what is real frustrating, and scary, is that i will not be able to power the system back on until an hour+ of unplugging the PSU. i also stress i am playing legitimate copies on legit windows 7.

I do not think it's temperature related, my cpu is peaking at 120 farenheit, and gpu is in a similar range. I have seen the system run hotter after extended play in bioshock infinite, without the power-down issue. Just as a precautionary measure i have even added two more fans into my case last week, still having issues though.

Here are my specs (excuse all the extra info i copied and pasted from an e-mail receipt, i'm at work and don't have another source handy).

Item SKU Item Description Quantity Per Item Price Total Price
860478 EVGA GTX660TISC 2GB PCIE DDHDP 1 304.99 304.99

819433 CRUCIAL **16GB 2X8 D3 1333 DIMM C 1 89.99 89.99

as you can see i have a 750w power supply (yes i know it's overkill for my setup, live and learn, first time builder here) so it shouldn't be straining that by any means either.

i've tried several things so far... re-seating components, a cmos swap reset, latest patches and bios installed.

any ideas? i'll be home in a few hours but had time to start this thread from work. thanks people.

i was using this as my guide (plus i've searched these forums before i made my own post) i've tried it all. one thing i'm not sure about, my case didn't have any pins for system speaker. i'm positive i didn't miss any wires. is this a possible issue?

even tho it won't boot up, my mobo's power-led will light up, but it still won't power on.

also i am not overclocking.
