Connect LCD & Projector to 2 DVI Ports

I purchased a HP Pavilion Slimline s5-1414, for my church, which came standard with 2 DVI ports. I attach a LCD monitor to 1 Port and a Projector to the other. I start the computer and nothing displays. I disconnect the projector, restart the monitor performs normally. I then connect the projector in the other port and it functions as expected. When I reboot nothing works until I perform steps above. I also set the BIOS to default settings, and both monitor & projector came up fine. When I rebooted, same problem. Any suggestions?
