When I was replacing the cpu fan, I noticed that the socket on the motherboard for the cpu fan was lifted and angled instead of laying flat on the board. This meant that when I plugged in the fan connector it was slanted.

It looked something like this:

(Ignore the bad illustration)

I tried pushing it back down but it wouldn't budge.

If anyone knows how to fix it that would be great. P.S. it still works fine.

Thanks,

Jonathan

If it's still working, leave it alone. Trying to bend it back could break a trace and disable the fan. If you need to remove the fan for some reason, unplug the psu from the wall, press the start button to discharge the caps, the remove the fan plug while gently holding the header in as close as possible to the same position.
