Hi guys, I'm relatively new here and looking to build myself an AMD based gaming PC. I have built myself and family a few systems over the past couple of years, and have never really had the money to build myself a proper, high end gaming rig. My specs are as follows and I currently have everything that I need apart from the CPU and Windows:

-AMD FX8350 4GHz (will OC to 4.5GHz if possible)
-Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 motherboard
-8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz
-Sapphire Radeon 7850 OC 2GB
-Samsung Series 840 120GB SSD (for windows and some core programs)
-Seagate Barracuda 2tb 7200rpm HDD (for storage purposes)
-LG SATA Internal CD drive 24x
-CiT Vantage Midi Mesh case blue
-Corsair TX850 850W PSU
-Corsair Hyper 212 EVO cooler
-Windows 8 Pro 64-bit

Do I need to change anything here or is it good to go into build phase?

Nice build! If you have a little extra cash ($30-ish), I'd strongly recommend getting a 128GB 840 PRO instead of the 840. It uses MLC flash which most people consider to be "better". If the price of RAM wasn't so high right now I would say why not get 16GB but 8GB will be enough for the next few years. Other than that it's a very solid build! Good luck building!

IF you don't have the low profile vengeance ram you may have problems mounting that CM 212 Evo.

Secondly I would get a new case that can mount SSDs natively or get the right adapter to mount it. And a case that will cool better and fit bigger hardware for future upgrades.

I would look at a Corsair case, NZXT case (the 410 Tempest would be a good choice), Cooler Master case or some case from Antec (like the 1100)

That case looks like it was engineered in 2003, I would select a new one.

Thanks for both of your replies. I have read somewhere else that the heatsinks on the RAM sticks cause problems with mounting coolers like this, but looking around, there seems to be just enough clearance, if not, I can always sell the RAM on and get the low profile instead. The idea behind the PC is to be upgrading it progressively, as and when I have the money to do so, and the case is on the list of replaceable parts, but right now, I just want it all up and running for me!
