Hello,

1 year ago, I got the Corsair Obsision 650D case. Truly fantastic case to work with.

However, 1 year later now, I have the followign problem:

The case has two 200mm fans: one in the front, and one at the top. It seems both broke at the same time, after 1 year. The case has 3 fan speed setting with a switch: low, medium and high. I usually have it at "low" when not gaming. A few weeks ago, the fans did not start spinning. When swtiching to medium or high, the higher voltage caused them to start spinning, and then switching back to low kept them going.

Today, both fans don't even start at "high". However, giving the fans a manual boost, starts them spinning.

What could be wrong? Why could both 200mm fans break at the same time? Could it be a controller failure in the case, or both fans mechanically failing around the same time?

What are good 200mm fans?

Thanks!

Are they hooked up into the built in fan controller? If so, looks like it's failing. I would either ask for a replacement directly from Corsair or I would get new fans and plug them directly into the PSU or mobo. On an ASUS mobo they feature FanXpert which lets you control their fan speeds regardless if it's 3 pin or 4 pin PWM. You can also make a 7v or 5v adapter from a normal 12v fan connector for the PSU. For a replacement I recommend a Cooler Master 200mm or a Bitfenix Spectre Pro 200mm.

Hope this helps, glad to see you like the case,
