8950 crossfire according to alienware

Apparently when ordering one of their Aurora desktops online, you get a choice of HD8950s in crossfire, is this real or just some mistake?

Seems kind of strange if it was a typo for a 7950. Why would they charge $1800 for a 7950 rig? Oh wait, it's alienware. It seems to be real, this would be a pretty critical area to make a typo. You would probably have better luck asking Dell support, if you really want to find out.

It's likely an OEM HD8950, which means it's just a HD7950 with a new label slapped on it.

They wouldn't do that. they're only doing that for the mobile GPU's, if you're truly suggesting they did that for the desktop gpu's I'd think you'd have gone mad :lol:
