My Segate Barracuda isent working

So i have put my new Segate Barracuda 3tb in the Sata connector and its not working i put it in the right Sata place and it still doesent work is there some driver i have to install or something?

Open Disk Management
It should be listed there

If it says something like "Unallocated...", you have to create a partition
Then assign it a drive letter

It should now show when you open MyComputer.

What do you mean by "not working"? Is it recognized in bios? Did you initialize it in disk management? Partition created and GPT fomated?

When i go devieces and printers it is There but when i wanna see my drive it only shows my ssd wich is working perfectly. The mechanical harddrive is not coming up do i have to do a driver installation?

Have you made sure you connected the power from the Psu to the back of the Hard drive ?.
I suspect you forgot to,and instead just plugged the Sata data cable in from the hard drive to your motherboard.

After that you will need to format the drive for it to be seen in windows, if you are adding it as an extra drive to your system.

If you are swapping the new drive for the old one currently in there, you will have to format the drive then re
install windows on it.

Also check in the bios of the motherboard that the Sata ports are enabled.
