im looking to get the GTX 650 Ti BOOST (along with a new PSU) soon and im really excited about Physx and adaptive vsync, but im worried about how much the physx effects frame rates in games; does it affect FPS as much as ambient occlusion and anti-aliasing? is it even worse?

if it helps, this is my computer: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c03520537&lang=en&cc=us&taskId=135&contentType=SupportFAQ&

Physx effect are different in a lot of games and so the fps drop differs. Physx in mirrors edge doesn't affect performance while physx in borderlands or batman can have a significant performance drop(20-esque fps).

i know that currently, only a few games like planetside 2, batman AC, hawken use physx but it looks really cool and immersive and hopefully more games use it in the future and Nvidia can optimize it better

Agreed. Right now, I'm finding it hard to do a good measure up on how much PhysX affect games when so little utilize it.
