So i just got my parts in for my build and I have my mobo all ready w/ ram installed and the APU/cooler... I am going through the case stuff and I was shipped 1 standoff??? I thought I didn't need any spacers for this particular case?? Now i'm worried that I do... someone please help me asap!

does my corsair 300r case need standoffs and they didn't send me enough?? or did i just get a random standoff in my bag???

it's a corsair 300r
and a microatx type board

This case is really big. Fits everything of mine in it (including the Cooler Master 212 + CPU Cooler). Has built in mobo standoffs which was a nice touch. I personally haven't had a problem with the side panels being flimsy or difficult to pull off or put on. The case has a nice, quality look to it as well. Oh and it comes with two fans and room for like 5 more I believe. Plenty of ventilation. Got this for my first build which stays in an apartment that's always 75+ degrees. This case fit the bill.

so do i just ignore the random standoff? or is there an actual reason for its presence

Ignore the separate standoff. Sometimes different boards or sizes will have a hole in a "non-traditional" location and you would need a "movable" standoff for proper support of your motherboard.

You should be good to go as is. Just make sure your m/b holes line up with an existing pre-installed standoff.
