Hi all,right i already suspect the problem but would like possible confirmation of if im on the right path,i have the asus crosshair v formula mb which i bought upon launch but because of circumstances i have only just this week decided to finish the build using a fx 8350 cpu and 16 gb corsair vengance ram 2tb seagate hd 1000w cooler master psu 22x speed bluray drive 9 led fans xigmatek cpu cooler ,and yes i have switched and checked ram tried diffrent pcie slot for gpu no diffrence at all long story short i have tried everything but all my pc does is power up but monitor stays in stanby from what ive read im assuming its the bios is too old to support the 8350 fx cpu plus like i said i bought my mb pretty much upon release could someone please confirm this for me regards paul ......oh and i thought it might be my 7950 gpu but ive had that replaced only this week but still no joy so its notgpu again thanks.....

Hi, There's a barcode sticker on the board. The last 4 digits on that sticker stand for the board's BIOS version.
1703 or newer is required.
If older, you can order a BIOS chip from ASUS eStore (if in US) or ebay and replace the board's one (it's on socket).

hi alex and thanks for reply yeah sorry i forgot o mention im in the uk and cant seem to find the uk version of asus estore to replace my chip any help would be much appreciated like a link straight to the united kingdom asus bios chip replacment site for example i wouldnt ask only im using an android phone to browse and its not upto much many thankspaul......
