ASUS M5A97 R2.0 or LE R2.0

Hello, which one of these would be better with a Fx-6300 overclock around 4.2. 4.5. They both have 4+2 vrm's.

With the same VRM should be no difference to CPU MHz.

I've heard that the LE is bad at overclocking, but I could have been fed false information.

I'll check back at this thread to read the other answers as this interests me

Well the M5A97 R2.0 has a 8 pin cpu connector while the LE has a 4 pin. So the non LE version might be the better overclocker.

What is the difference between a 4 pin and a 8 pin cpu connector and will it affect my performance gaming with a FX-6300, particularly if I want to overclock?

I think the difference is that the 4 pin doesn't supply as much power which is needed for overclocking.
