HI everybody
I got this laptop : http://www.toshiba.e...ellite-l300-255

Diagnostics say disc is about to fail.I am not really an expert on hardware so here are some questions i got:

-Will any 2,5 disc fit?

-Is there a way to port everything on a new hdd without an install?

-If I do a fresh install and then restore a backup from the old hdd will it work?

-Can I use a ssd or 7200rpm disk?If yes will it improve performance?

Thank you in advance,
NIK

Any 2.5 HDD will fit, provided the interface is the same (PATA, SATA, IDE).
Porting can be done with the cloning software of your choice, preferably on a different PC, having the source and the target drives mounted as external drives (you can use a HDD dock or an enclosure for that).
An SSD or 7200 rpm will give you better performance, SSD better than 7200 rpm HDD.
