I am looking for a good gpu but I really wonder what stats really matter in preformance. is it CUDA or core clock or such. so I was wondering if someone could tell me what is the most important and what that aspect means in the GPU

Solution

core clock/frequency (MHz); usuallyy 800-1000MHZ is acceptable
memory clock/frequency (MHZ); around 6000-6600MHz
memory interface (bits;) usually 256bits or more (up to 512 bits on a single card)
memory capacity (GB); usually 2-4GB
shader/stream/cuda units; on NVidia its called Cuda cores around 1300 is fine. on AMD its called stream process, around 1500 is fine.

update:
depending on your budget...
you can look at these gpu's as reference (200-400$ expected price range)

Nvidia:
gtx660ti
gtx670
gtx680...

Core clock is probably the most common comparison between cards but you can't determine a card's perfomance from it's core clock alone. It will give you a rough estimation but the best stats are benchmarks with up to date drivers.
