What the heck are all these Speedfan temps?

Hey guys,

So here's what Speedfan tells me I have in terms of sensors:

System: Maybe case temp?
CPU: An average of all cores?
AUX: Also maybe case temp?
SMIOVT4: RAM?
SMIOVT5: Also RAM?
SMIOVT6: No clue...only have two sticks
HD1: Hard drive (even though I have an SSD as well)
GPU: Obvious
Core 0-3: Also obvious

So here's my question...what's with the extra temps? The "System" and "SMIOVT" temps really baffle me. Also why my SSD isn't showing up.

Anyone have any ideas? Oh, and is there a way to NOT monitor certain temps? With all the extra temps crowding up my display, it forces the fourth core temp out.

They are coming from temperature sensors located in various locations on your motherboard. Check your motherboards manual and it will tell you what each of those sensor names mean in terms of location on the motherboard.

The MoBo manual mentions the types of sensors it features, but gives them no nomenclature. I'm sure this could be determined via deduction, but I wasn't sure if anyone knew off-hand what these are.
