Hey guys, so I would like to overclock my graphics card and processor. I would like my 660 ti to match the 670 after overclocking, and would like my i5 3570k to go from 3.4 ghz to 4.2 ghz. How stable would this be, how much power would I need (need to change my power supply), and what would I need to change in my BIOS?

Specs:

i5 3570k

P8Z77-V LK - LGA 1155 - Intel Z77 - ATX

Asus - GeForce GTX 660 Ti Graphic Card - 967 MHz Core - 2 GB GDDR5 SDRAM - PCI Express 3.0 x16

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)

SeaSonic M12II 620 Bronze Certified ATX/EPS Modular PSU

Western Digital 500 GB Caviar Blue
Crucial M4 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive

ASUS 24X DVD Burner

COOLER MASTER CM 690 II Advanced nVidia Edition

1. you dont need to change your power supply its a good brand and it has plenty of extra power you already dont use.

2. for the cpu you only need raise the CPU multiplier (100x42) typical setup for a 4.2G, thats all you need, not even needed to touch voltage and other stuff. But I advise you to get an aftermarket air cooler at least. CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Evo is a very good choice around 30$ and its one of the best. (cooling performance/silence wise compared to price).

3. i wouldnt recommend overclocking your 660Ti. 1st of all its almost similar to 670, they both have almost the same clock rates (unless you give us detailed brand/model we cant really compare since gpu's sometimes comes with factory overclocked setup). the reason you wont reach to 670 is that 660ti is lacking memory interface. it comes with 192-bits, and 670 has 256-bits of interface. thats something you cant change by overclocking so why bother? but if you want you can try to increase core clock frequency by like 100-200MHz too see some difference. you may need to raise also the voltage if you want more than 100MHz boost. but extra voltage on gpu's are not that good. they tend to be unstable.

Thanks! I'll take a look at the CoolerMaster Hyper 212, and I guess I'll leave the graphics card alone.
