low budget build, $300 for a CPU/mobo - should I wait for haswell or stick to ivy bridge?

I am looking at building a budget PC.
I will allocate $300 to motherboard and CPU (was hoping for an i5), and another $50 to 8gb of memory.
I already have case, SSD, psu, gpu and harddrive.

Am I better off waiting a few months for ivybridge, or should I purchase an i5 now within my given budget?

you can get i5 and decent mobo with 300 bucks but if you want better performance/ cheaper price id recommend waiting for haswell. because ive bridge CPU's price should drop with the arrival of haswell. and haswell's pricing should be close to current ivy bridge's pricing with an avarge of 10% boost. so you still should be able to get 4th gen i5 and mobo for 300$.

If you don't feel like waiting for a 10% boost (I know I didn't), you could use something along these lines:

That said, the Pro3 is a fine board, just not a lot of upgrade options.
