Hello Toms Community wondering if you guys could help me out there.
I do believe i got a dud card, or possibility of a driver issue. I have the latest drivers. I cant seem to figure out why its doing this.
I just bought this card 2 days ago and should I just RMA?.
Cant be my other hardware cause i just upgraded from a 660ti and yes uninstalled nvidia drivers restarted and turned off computer, installed new 7970 installed drivers updated drivers and gaming issues occurred.
I have uploaded a video on youtube hopefully it will help.
Please advise thank you much.

Solution
After you uninstalled your Nvidia drivers did you use driver sweeper or any other program to clean out the leftover garbage files? If not, then you need to uninstall your current drivers again and run this program: http://www.techspot.com/downloads/4266-driver-sweeper.html Search for both Nvidia and AMD drivers and clear them all, then reboot. After that, install the latest driver and see if the problem persists. This is a very common issue that is usually solved by following these steps BTW.

How did you initially get the drivers for your new GPU? From the CD or the site? And what kind of "Gaming issues" are you having?
-I would just delete the 7970 drivers completely, download the new ones offline (DO NOT INSTALL YET), reset your computer and then install the new drivers.

Sorry could not watch the videos since I'm at school.

Sincreator I did my 3rd clean install rebooted and heres the catch Borderlands 2 game crashed saying the display port malfunctioned and there was a sound loop. Now with that being said i rebooted one time and next thing you know EVERY Game was functioning properly... like it suppose to... Do i Risk using this card ( would it be safe to keep it)? or should i refund it for a brand new one? (RMA/Refund process is a b****).

I would register the card with Sapphire, and keep the card for a couple months at least. AMD are bringing in new memory management through their drivers that may fix some issues over the next couple months, and add extra stability. If you have the card registered, the RMA process should be a lot easier if you do end up having to send it back.
