Hi all been working for a week on this problem and just want to figure it out to learn but out of my depth...Bought Asus CG8270 Desktop, 128 SSD/ 3T/ i7, got it home and found only 30GB left on C:\ SSD, Tried to install one of my win8pro, win7, changed CPU disabled security boot enabled CSM, changed every boot of UEFI and most settings for 7 days...Problem I can get to install right up to see all my drives even format c:\ but says "windows cant install on GPT Partition" Contacted Asus told to buy new SSD and/or stop every program and redirect install, any thoughts other then spend more money and time is greatly appreciated!!!

The first thing I would try is to install only the SSD drive - no hard drive. Do a clean install of Windows on the SSD. Once the OS is installed and all patches applied, then add the hard drive. Windows and basic programs (Chrome, Firefox, etc), should only use less than 40GB of your 128GB.

yeah thanks I think a take out put back in is next , I mean 1500+ for a computer to be told there is no way to uninstall there 70 gigs of stuff I don't need or want??? I tried the partition downloaders and all I managed to do is make it dynamic lol!

I build my own....for one reason - I don't install all the "bloat ware" that comes with the computers. First thing I always do on a "boxed" computer is boot up and create the "restore" or "recovery" DVDs....then I blow away the partitions, and install Windows 7 from scratch.

16 days later I trashed the crap out of the computer without tacking side off.
SSD and it still would not accept any windows because it said GPT , GUID Partition Table.
Found out MICROSOFT, ASUS, and INTEL, had conspired that my life would be hell if I messed with them. So the F9 would no longer even install preinstall, finally got 3T HDD to accept windows by flash bios but every time F5 set bios to Default "PC encounter problem will restart" this went on for days!

Blew away partitions made ssd into MBR, Microsoft will not install on GPT with more then 4 partitions and up to 2T!!!
Clean install windows 8pro still picks up preinstall but go threw "Add Features to Windows 8" you need WIN 8 PRO for "Hyper-V" and VERTILIZATION must be "Enable" default is disabled in Bios under CPU Configuration

Lost all ASUS, Intel, software, my 128GB-SSD went from 30GB free to 70GB free. Windows picked up NVidia 3D
In Bios I noticed under PCH Configuration Intel(R) Rapid Start Technology was not only DISABLED but now "Blacked Out"
under SATA Configuration change to IDE...
My system now runs better then when I bought it, and is a testament to ASUS, Intel, and Microsoft, for I know I'm lucky their good because I put this threw the ringer and learnt a lot!
