Hi guys, I've recently decided to shift from the restraints of the current gen consoles. I've decided to purchase an AMD rig, this being my first build:

Amd fx 8320
Sapphire 7870 xt
MSI 990xa-gd55 atx
Corsair vengeance 8gb 2133 MHz
Western digital caviar blue 500gb
Cooler master hyper 212 evo
Corsair builder 430w
Antec three hundred two atx mid case

Comes to a total of £610.24. Can anyone offer any improvements or insight to this rig as to whether it will be a worthwhile purchase (plenty bang for buck)!

Many thanks

I know you decided to go with AMD but I urge you to go with the 3570k from Intel. I got the Intel and my friend got the FX 8350 (your CPU's superior) and he even admits that my CPU is better for gaming. Of course its your money so its your call just a friendly recommendation. Nice choice of GPU etc. Maybe a slightly higher powered PSU but thats pretty much it.

for a gaming rid you can probabl drop down to a 6300, actually I would suggest the new 6350 it has higher clocks default clockng then the 8320 and unless your using heavy multi-threaded applications the two extra cores won't really help you in gaming.

Okay thank you for the advice, I will take that into consideration. I will consider swapping to intel & will definitely grabs bigger PSU. Thanks again :)

Okay, I will check this out. I just thought the 8 cores might help future proof it slightly. Cheers for the advice pal!
