So what happened . My motherboard is very old Asus P5B with DDR2 slols. I have one 2GB of ddr2 double-sided , one 1GB double-sided and one 1gb with one sided chips . all of them are 800 Mhz . Recently I put a new graphics card radeon HD4850 1 gb GDDR3 256 bit in replace for Asus 9600 GSO 512 mb . At first it was good but then I noticed that something is wrong . I realized that my power supply can't handle it . I wasn't able to play games and my computer worked wrong . I disabled all coolers , the DVD-rw and the other HDD . It worked fine , very good . But then I saw that system recognized only 3008 mb of ram instead of 4 Gb . In BIOS it is also this way . In my control panel it says 2,94GB usable out of 4 GB. I have windows 7 64bit and my mobo is Dual-channel . The funny thing is that each of those works fine only with the other one . For example 2 works fine with both 1 Gbs and those with 1Gb of memory work with each other also well . But when I put them all together it won't recognize more than 3008mbs . Before I've changed my graphics it was working fine and all 4Gbs of ram were recognized . And what is strange why 3008 mb??? When it is 3Gb shouldn't it be 3072 mb . I can't figure out what happened , I think it is my mobo but what exactly ?? I wonder if memory remapping will help ??
