I just bought a new desktop with AMD A8 5500B and Radeon HD 7560D, as well as a Samsung S24B300Hl monitor. Now call me crazy but I swear I get slight better display with VGA than using a display port to HDMI convertor and then connecting to the monitor with HDMI. No gaming just web browsing and a lot of spreadsheets. I believe characters are more crisp and more clean, especially in Excel. I also have the latest AMD Vision engine control center installed. I am sorry I am not super tech savoy but could the display port to HDMI converter lower quality? When I get a second monitor for dual monitors should I get one that has display port so I do not need a converter?

I have seen this before, but it was the other way around (vga was lower quality, blurry even at correct resolution), I suggest making sure your resolution is set correctly in windows. If this does not fix it, instead of using display port try using dvi or go back to vga if possible.
