hello,
quick specifics
location: England
Budget: as close to £300 as i can keep it
Why I'm building: mainly a gaming pc, my very first so nothing too much. would be nice to play games such as bf3 and 4 when it is out at Mid settings but i think that is very wishful thinking.

i am planning my very first PC build so i am on a relatively tight budget (keeping as close to £300 without getting bad parts) and have all my parts chosen but don't know which PSU i will need. i will not be overclocking and probably wont be buying new parts in a hurry, i may get some more ram at some point just to bump it up to 8gb, so it shouldnt need to be much more than what is needed now. here are the specs:

AMD fx 6300 3.5ghz

msi 970a-g43 amd motherboard

ASUS AMD Radeon HD 6670 1 gb gddr5

http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/amdradeon...

4gb corsair vengeance ddr3 1600mhz

500gb seagate pipeline hard drive

sony DVD+/-RW

http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/opticaldr...

Novatech Vulcan Midi Case

thanks in advance, also any comments on this setup would be great as this is my first build and I'm not exactly an expert, but please remember this is a budget build and would be looking to keep the costs down

500w would be plenty for this build. If this is for gaming, you can change some things around to get better settings. As it sits, you will be playing low settings in newer games.

MAybe even something as low as the corsair 430w would be enough. May I also suggest the option of getting a phenom II x4 965 (now with a lower price on aria.co.uk) and investing the savings in a better GPU? that would probably deliver a better gaming experience overall, depending on your monitor.

CPU to a phenom 2 x4 965BE

You might be able to shave a few bucks off the motherboard as well.

Hopefully this will allow you to buy an hd7750 or 7770.
