Hey All, first time asking the community.
Recently, i went to my user directory and accidentally checked the hidden attributes option. There was a loading windows so I let it finish. After wards, most of my icons on my desktop disappeared so I googled how to undo hidden attributes. I went to folder options and check the view all folders/sub folders but that just ended up giving me ghosted out colors of my icons/folders. i highlighted them and checked the read/write only option and hit apply. It looks the same as before now but now my Steam, Chrome, and Asus AI Suite is not working i.e not starting/launching. I tried my firefox too but it keeps saying it was already running and that i should restart. I did that but the same thing keeps popping up. So now I'm stuck with Ie and can't really do anything. I was planning to do a fresh install of windows 7/8 but wanted to check if anyone can help me at all first.
