just curious. im looking for a bit of a better monitor than i currently have for both gaming and editing. (this one im going to sell to a friend). hear so many great things about ips monitors but the response time seems slow on em and i dont see many past 60hrz.

Editing what ?

I have a Dell IPS monitor which is part of a system that has photo editing as it's primary function. It makes a very good gaming monitor.

In the next room there's another system with an Asus 120 Hz monitor....it stinks for photo editing, but it side by side the Dell looks dull compared to the Asus in gaming.

Ya want a gaming monitor, look at 120 or 144 Hz

i'm a com design student, it's not going to be vary professional stuff. mostly it'd be indesign stuff and mild photoshop and photography stuff. for fun i do edit stuff for yt with vegas too. I take it it's probably nto worth the extra for an ips monitor.

on that below monitor i was looking at one similar to it. thinking something like that is probably what i'll go for.
