Screen's Display is Shot

So, I just got a new custom made PC. When I first booted it up, everything was fine, when I had to restart due to updates, on restart it gave me a message about catalyst control center crashing and then a lot of options for the CCC disappeared. To fix this, I read that you should uninstall and reinstall the CCC.

Like an idiot, I downloaded an uninstaller which not only removed the CCC but the drivers and everything to do with the AMD 7970 installed I'm guessing. When it prompted me to restart, I did, and now my screen doesn't display anything.

Checked with other system, screen's working fine. I'm assuming that since there's no drivers or anything for the card, the display isn't working? I can hear the PC starting windows but no display. Tried entering BIOS but again, nothing to see. Tried to reset CMOS in the hopes that it'll run on the integrated card but nada there. How do I fix this screw-up?

I don't think using the CCC uninstaller is a bad thing, but obviously something went wrong on your computer.

The solution is to run your PC in Safe Mode (pressing F8 during windows start up). Once in safe mode you can change your resolution or whatever setting is incorrect and reboot and see if it works. You can also try to install the catalyst driver in safe mode but it will probably fail with "failed to load detection drivers". If that doesnt work you should try repairing your windows. Tried running the BIOS as well as safe mode, neither seem to work as display is blank.

With most pc you have to have the video cable on the other port with the pc off for the port to show the bios.also some pc boot so fast that a monitor won't show you to hit the f or del or esc key to enter into the bios. Most time you have to mash the key at power up or use the CMOS jumper to clear the bios to force the pc to go into bios settings. Also when they built the pc the vendor may have set the gpu as the main video and turned off onboard gpu.

If your BIOS is not working, then it is nothing to do with windows or CCC. Do you ever see anything on your screen as you start your PC, or is it always blank? If it is then it is hardware related.

Try different ports on the graphics card. But ultimately it is possible that your card or its port is damaged. In that case it one could to try it in another computer to confirm that it is the card that is broken.

The default gpu according to the vendor is the integrated hd 4000 but the screen connected to hdmi just doesn't ever display anything. Anymore. Before it would remain blank and then directly jump to the windows log in screen when it was working. Now it just doesn't display anything at all. The power led on my screen keeps flashing and my screen flashes hdmi at the top right every now and then. I mashed F2 to get into the bios and I'm guessing I made it because it didn't make the sound for windows logging in. However screen remains stubbornly blank. If I remove the external video card and boot up will it switch to using the integrated hd or is that a no go as well?

Normally once you put a graphics card in, you do not have to change in the bios for it to work. If you plug in a monitor it should work.

I would try a normal VGA or DVI cable and plug the monitor into the onboard port or the graphics card's por's and I would try different ports on the graphics card (it should have like 3). Try to avoid HDMI for now.

It is perhaps possible that your graphics card is not seated in its slot correctly or it is not getting enough power, are the graphics card's PCI-X power plugs plugged in?
