Ok so I cannot seem to settle on a graphics card

A overclocked 7970 : http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=193_1309&products_id=23160

Or this gtx 670 : http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=193_1387&products_id=20330

I'm not willing to go over that budget

Planning on Sli-ing/crossfiring in the future

I'm going to play first person shooters (aka bf3,bf4,fc3,etc) and other games like ac3,ac4 and some other games too
Which one would you recommend for the kind of games I'm playing, going to be on a single 1080p monitor

If I had to decide between those two cards, I'd go with the 7970 simply because its a much better buy.

The tradeoff for getting the 7970 is that it is little louder, produces more heat, and uses more power (~50W I think).

The plus side is that it is a bit more powerful than even the 670 ftw edition card and cheaper. Much better bang for your buck.

Another thing to consider is airflow in your case. If you have a mid to large size case with good airflow, getting the 7970 and later a second one shouldn't be a problem. The 7970 pushes half its air back into the case, and that heat gets compounded by adding a second card in xfire. The 670 pushes virtually all its heat out the back of your case and will be much cooler in sli and is better suited to a smaller case and/or one that has poor airflow.

EDIT: EVGA has pretty much the best customer service in the business as well. I have no experience with MSI (I just know its not as well known as EVGA's).

Ok so the 7970 is pretty much a good single card and I get that
But you said that the gtx 670 FTW pushes its air put the back

Also I plan to sli/crossfirex in the future

From what I've heard the gtx 670ftw is a great card
But the Msi 7970 which I picked is also a great card

Beside that both cards are great
Doesn't crossfirex suffer from Microstutter quite badly
But Sli not so much ?
Also the 7970 is 20 dollars cheaper
Is the gtx 670 FTW worth the extra 20 and buy another one down the line ?
