Hello! I've been trying to find what the difference between Catalyst WS-C2960S-24PS-L and Catalyst WS-2960S-24PD-L is?
All I've been able to find out is that the latter one is a little bit faster and has 2 10 gigabit SFP+. Is there anything I've missed?
Would really appreacite any help.
/Peter

Pretty much you are right. The ones with 10g ports are in theory faster because now the total capacity is 24g+20g rather than 24g+4g. Its good and bad cisco publishes so many numbers. The total capacity of the switch is the same no matter which model you get. This means that a 24 port switch has the same switch engine as the the 48 port switch. Now I am sure the reason they rate the switches in packets per second as well as bits per second is that there is some limitation. In real life I have never hit the limits.

Ok. Thanks for your help and reply. It sure feels a bit like a jungle. Not that easy to find info all the time;)
Kind regards, Peter
