The ethernet ports of target board are not coming up. What all can be the possibilities?
At u-boot (Boot Loader), the ports are UP as indicated by LED.
But once the Linux is loaded, it went down.

Missing Realtek Network Controller. At least that happened to me once after I upgraded the GPU, the until-then-working-fine ethernet port simply vanished. I downloaded a new one from somewhere, installed and bingo, ethernet port reappeared. Hope that works for you.

Thanks for the quick reply......
My question is regarding the target board, not the Desktop computer/laptop.
The issue is, once the Linux Kernel is loaded on the target board, the Ethernet ports of the board (PHY) are not coming up.

Thanks for the reply.
I think you misunderstood the question. My question is regarding the target board not the desktop computer/laptop.

There is a target board from Freescale with us. Once we loaded the Linux Kernel image onto the target, the Ethernet ports (PHY) are not coming up. When it is in u-boot, it is coming up. The LEDs for the ports are blinking.

@nic4242: Thank u for the assistance......

But the solution is regarding the speed and duplex mode setting in the host PC.

The board was supporting only 10 Mbps and the host system was not able to auto-negotiate with the board. Once, when we fixed the speed to 10 Mbps on the host system, it started communicating with the board.

I don't know why the auto-negotiation in the host is not working with the target.

Anyway, my issue is resolved......
