FX-6300 compatability with ASRock 970 Extreme4 question.

Both are FX-6300 processors. I'm trying to check for compatability with this motherboard. The ASRock does not list the BOX version. But they seem to be the same. The only listed difference is that one is OEM and the other is boxed.

Both are supported as of BIOS version 2.10 ^

both will work even if the motherboard doesn't list one of them, it's the same cpu, one with a fan and heatsink and the other doesn't

Customer support from place of purchase , or if you have an older chip that is supported on that same board , you can flash it to the newer bios then install new cpu.

I would rather get the board with the updated BIOS in place.
