Is G. Skill Ripjaws X Series (4x4GB) DDR3 1333Mhz compatible with the ASRock 970 Extreme4 motherboard. I've checked the charts and it doesn't seem to be on there. But I'm not entirely sure. I'm working on a full build for a computer and am trying to make sure all parts are compatible before purchasing. If it is not compatible then would you leave recommendations please?

Solution
Although GSkill ripjaws is not certified for your mobo, it should work. As long as the specs for your mobo include 1333 MHz RAM (and it does) the RAM should work.

Where mobo OEMs used to certify RAM for use in their products they have (generally discontinued this because of the number and variety of RAM manufacturers.

I stay away from high profile RAM because of fitting aftermarket coolers. The additional surface area of the heatsinks is only arginally effective. If you have real RAM heating issues you are better off with adding a dedicated RAM cooler or providing better case ventillation.

My Gaming RAM is GSkill sniper 2133 MHz.
