Medion PC MT 7 HDD 20032573

this hard drive seems to have crashed......when I try to boot up
it just keeps clicking.
Have tried the Medion recovery disk supplied with the computer....worked once but now just closes the system down after loading Microsoft windows files.
Also tried Kaspersky rescue disk.....same problem.
Can anyone advise if the HDD needs replacing and if so would a WESTERN DIGITAL WD 250GB SATA HARD DISK DRIVE HDD SATA 250GB 7200RPM WD2500JS fit ? Having difficulty finding the Medion replacement.
Any information gratefully appreciated.
