I finally got my storm stryker build together yesterday as all the components necessary arrived what was supposed to be an easy transition turns into a nightmare. All components are in properly I'm getting power to the motherboard an Asus maximus v formula it lights up but on the front panel of the case I get no led indicators and the Case power button does not power the system on. I'm hoping I did something wrong and the front panel isn't failed because I'd have to take everything out and ship the case back to new egg which would suck please help thanks.

First make sure all the cables are plugged in. 24 pin and 8 pin for the motherboard, 6 pin for the GPU, sata power for the HDD/SSD/DVD. If you have all that, you can try the following:

If you have a power switch from an old case lying around, you could test it with that to see if that's not broken. If you don't, you can use a screwdriver to connect the 2 pins.

To rule out the PSU, you can try to jumpstart it by connecting the green wire and any black wire on the 24 pin connector. Just make sure you only have a few fans and a dvd drive or so hooked up to it.

The power supply unit was taken from my last system I know it works powers motherboard on I see a flashing red light on the motherboard heard that may be normal for the maximus I however don't get any gpu power I don't think because I have a 6gb 7970 sapphire that lights up when powered on I'm at a loss for wgatbis going everything is left over components from my last system besides motherboard I purchased that used on ebay but don't see how that would stop the front led and power to not work

Where is the red light flashing and does the manual say anything about it?

By GPU power I meant the 6 or 8 pin connectors for your 7970.

If you bought the motherboard used, it's still possible that it's broken. The power button doesn't have to be broken. To rule that out, you should try the suggestions I made.

I Googled the flashing light and no power seems like there's an issue with the wifi module on the formula that short circuits the board they say to take the wifi module off then try and it should boot many people are having same problem where there's no led or power just flashing light so ill try that and come back
