I upgraded my motherboard, processor, memory and hard drive on my computer along with my operating system. I installed the new OS (Windows 8) in the new hard drive and left the old OS (Windows XP) in the other drive. The PC was running fine until I was done copying important files from the old drive and then wiping it. Then when I rebooted I got the "Operating System not found" screen. I tried UEFI changing the main boot drive to the new drive with Windows 8 and nothing. Any suggestions?

When you install windows eight you want only the main drive your going to use to be plugged in. Windows is know to reparation drives during install and then screwing up. If windows installed right one drive should have a small system restore portion and then a main one. Also in the new efi bios under hard drives make sure the right boot drive number one. Telling new efi bios to boot from a hard drive when there two or more drives will get you that error message if the wrong drive is set as number one drive.

Yea I already picked the new HDD with Windows 8 as the primary boot drive but I still get the same message. I aleady wiped the the old drive completely and don't have the CDs or anything for that drive how do I get windows to run now?

(Probable cause)
On the old drive, there would have been a System Reserved partition, of about 100mb. That's where Win8 put all the boot information.
Since you wiped it....

If you haven't done too much, my suggestion is just to start over.
Remove every drive but the DVD and whichever boot drive you want
Reinstall Windows.

Well see that's the problem I already have about 500Gb worth of stuff installed and I spend about 2 days downloading crap and transfering stuff from the old drive to the new one so if there is a way to avoid wiping this drive it would be great! Can't I just use the installation DVD to reinstall Windows 8 on just this new drive. Maybe unplugging the other drive while i do it?

Reinstalling Windows will require you to install all your applications again anyway.

Try this:
Boot from a Linux LiveCD or Hiren's BootCD
Move all your important data back to the old drive.
Remove or unplug that old drive
Install Win8 on the new drive
Reinstall all your applications
Reconnect the old drive.
Put your important files where they need to go.

Ok so download extract and install then burn to CD or just download and copy to a CD? Sorry I've never done anything like this before.

In your burning s/w, there will be an option of 'Burn ISO to CD', or words to that effect.
