I just bought a new computer tower for gaming, I usually play in windowed mode and I'm sick of the Little pop ups in the main window, Ive tried to disable them threw regedit but its not working properly.

My question is i have a Acer Laptop that is about a year old with windows 7 installed on it, This new Tower is also Acer but has windows 8.. Is it possible for me to Format this computer and install the OEM Windows 7 from my laptop onto this new Tower?

Those are called toaster notifications. Go to the Charms menu (Win+C) and click on Settings. There you will see a notifications icon where you can temporarily disable the notifications. If you want them gone all together click on "Change PC Settings" on the charms menu then Notifications.

Also if you want the balloon notifications gone then you have to do a quick registry mod:

Last but not least install classic shell.

When done you will have a more windows 7 like desktop but still have all the benefits of Windows 8.

Is it possible for you to post a screen shot? I'm not trying to promote windows 8, but since i've installed it, I don't even really see the Metro UI anymore.

As for your windows 7 install question, the answer is yes you can. The key will work but you have to use a regular install disk for a like version of windows 7.

As for installing Windows 7 with the key from your laptop that would be a big NO. The key is tied to the laptop and can NOT be used on any other PC period. One question I have would be why are you playing your games in Windowed mode in the first place?

As for Windows 8 it is really not that hard to get used to and in all aspects is much better than even Windows 7. The learning curve is about five minutes after that anyone should be able to use it like a pro and there is no need what so ever to install any Start menu software it just crap on Windows 8. Take five minutes to learn to navigate Windows 8 and your experience will be much better or spend more money and degrade your system by downgrading to Windows 7 and in every aspect it would be a downgrade because with Windows 7 the OS boots slower shutsdown slower runs app's and games slower search is slower but hey it is your system if you want to run a obsolete outdated OS go for it.

What version of 8 do you have? If you really, really want to downgrade to seven, the Pro version, and only if it came pre-installed on the computer, can be replaced with Windows 7 without an additional license. For example, see this: http://www.howtogeek.com/133168/how-to-downgrade-windows-8-pro-to-windows-7/
