Help me with upgrading my VGA card please!

My rig:
CPU Core 2 Duo E8200 2.66ghz
MB Asus P5Q (P45 chipset)
VGA Asus 8500GT 512MB silent
RAM 4GB
PSU Acbel 430W

It's kinda laggy with Tomb Raider low settings at 1280x800 but much better at 800x600, but ugly as hell.
So I think the weakest link in this is the VGA card, and I'm looking to upgrade it for future gaming demands (1280x800, playable framerate).

I'm just looking are the most compatible one with my system right now, because I'm not gonna upgrade the rest for about 2-3 more years, no need to buy a $140 VGA card if my CPU is gonna bottleneck it; and also the best bang for the buck of course.

Hard choice. It's between the 650, 7770, or 560 SE. Hard choice. If it was me, I would not go cough up a few more bucks for the 650 ti BOOST.

i would have recommended the 7770 but your PSU won't cut it and C2d will bottleneck it. best choice is the 7750 if not the GTX 650.
