Tried for 3 wks to get internet to 2nd computer & nothing! 1st computer has modem with no extra holes for another cord. have a router but it is not picking up internet for 2nd computer. Hooked up wrong? or maybe 2nd computer settings wrong????? Pulling my hair out with it!

The "output" of your modem goes to the "input" of the router. Then you connect the 2 PCs to the "outputs" of the router.

a modem will make your cable connection useable and your router will take the signal and make it wireless.... hook up the modem and the router to the same computer and get a wireless adapter for the second?

Thanks but I am getting Error 651 and still no internet to the 2nd computer. I think it is in the settings in the 2nd computer but not sure which one...... LOST... LOL :ouch:
