My sapphire dual X 7950 is running under load at about 85c. Idle is around 35c.are these temps normal? I have good support for it, all my other fan spots in my Cm advanced 2 are filled.
I agree with bigcyco1, graphics card are a lot more tolerant of heat than CPUs and run very hot under max load(not just AMD), 85C under load is perfectly fine if your chassis is well ventilated.
Considering its a Dual-X model(same as mine), its a little hot but not dangerous at all. Check that your fan speed is ramping up properly. You can try setting a custom curve in Trixx.
According to my gpu monitor it is at around 3150 rpm. 98 percent load on gpu, and steady on 85c.i tried opening my Window while I was away one day while it ran. I came home and it was at 77c. Around 45 degrees outside.

No that's farenhieght lol
Oh good, otherwise you would be smelly as hell right about now! LOL...
Set fan speed to 80% fixed and run it under load again. Lets see what results you get...
