Ultimate x86 RAM limit

Apparently, I read online on an official Windows thread


that the RAM my specific Windows 7 x86 (Ultimate uses) is 4GB but yet on the MY Computer properties it shows 8GB and doesn't cap anything.

Is this right? or is it using less than 8GB

It's 4GB for any 32bit Version. If you have a 32bit version, only 4GB will be used, because that is the max addressable range.
