Turning Pagefile off on an SSD

Hi,

I'm using this SSD and I was trying to find ways of increasing storage space. I read online that by turning the Pagefile off you can actually increase the lifespan of an SSD and you get "better performance". Although I'm curious if there's any significant drawbacks... I think I've found 1 already and that is, memory usage (looking at the task manager) seems to have increased. Actually, it's averaging at 2.4g right now and I only have chrome open and this 1 tab. Obviously, considering I have 4G of memory that is quite bad if I were to attempt to play BF3 which I know you need a spare 2g for the OS alone. So yeah, is there any other drawbacks?

If there isn't then I'll probably upgrade to 8G of memory.

I didn't want the extra reads/writes to my ssd, so I just moved the pagefile to a hdd instead. Still get the benefits, but no wear on the ssd.

This probably does not really affect wear and tear on the ssd, but every little bit helps.
