Core i5 3570K or FX6300?

I'm just trying to see in a gaming environment would it really be worth it to get the 350K? I''m getting them at Microcenter and the i5 is currently $189.99. What do you guys think?

Yes, definitely go for the 3570 for gaming because in cpu intensive games ie. Crysis 3 there are frame rate drops up to 10 fps just by using an inferior processor. Therefore, if you really need to get the most performance out of your machine it would be best not to have your cpu as the bottleneck.

The 3570k is a better gaming cpu, its faster than the FX-8350(which is faster than the fx-6300) in almost all games(crysis 3 is the only one i know of where the 8350 is faster). This also depends on your video card, in games having a fast CPU isnt much good if the GPU is the bottleneck.

Micro Center's prices are really as low as you can get. The lowest I've seen them go is $179.99 (which is when I got mine), or if you can get a motherboard bundle.
