I find that there are normally two antenna connection points on the laptop wireless cards that I have been exposed to. The two connections are labled Main and Aux. Does anyone have any insight as to the nature of the antennas that are connected to these two points? For example, Does the main connection lead to a 2.4 Ghz antenna and the aux connection lead to a 5 Ghz antenna? Is the main oriented to receive signals from a north-south direction, and the aux oriented to receive signals from an east-west direction? My guesswork is probably incorrect, so what exactly are these two distinct antenna connection points intended for?
