How Long Before I Need To Upgrade?

I know i should be able to play most games on high and ultra with this but how long do you think this build will last until i need to upgrade so i can continue to play the latest games on medium to ultra settings?

I think it all depends on your wallet.. I am still using my 930 I7 with 2 5850s in cf running at 4.2 ghz. Do you want 100 fps then upgrade the the latest every 2 years. I think it is a waste IMO.. I can still play Crysis 3 at 1900x1200 and get 40 frames at high setting.

Depends on how badly you want highest settings possible in game. I give this build 2-3 years solid. After that , who knows what will happen.

I'd give this two years before an upgrade is needed. The 7870 XT is a solid card no question. With your budget you could easily upgrade to an i5-3570K or i5-3470 and that would provide a huge boost over the FX-6300.
